You will show me the path of life. In Your presence is fullness of joy. At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Ps. 16:11

December Recap

This month has been interesting. I could ramble on and on with all the details but I'll spare you. (You're welcome) I'll just give you the highlights.

We got our first decent snowfall this month but it wasn't too much. Just enough to close the schools and make it pretty. We estimated about 10-11 inches. We enjoyed playing in it and breaking in our boots. Our cars were buried under snow so we had to dig ourselves out. That was fun. Thank goodness we have kind neighbors who let us borrow their shovel or it would have taken a lot longer.
Here are some pics of the snow on the day of the storm. It was a Sunday and yes, we went to church. I got lots of prayer time in on the way. The roads were not fun! The third pic is our church.

After the drive home from church, we took some pics from around our apartment. Here they are.

On the 19th, my mom flew out here and stayed until after Christmas. It was so nice to have her here. We had lots of fun. We shopped, baked Christmas goodies and just enjoyed being together again. Below is a pic of the strawberry candy we made. They used to be almost a tradition in our family. We also made fudge (for Vince) and pfeffernusse cookies which are a huge tradition. I'm not so sure Vince likes them but I have to admit, they are a bit of an acquired taste. I don't have a pic of them.

Our Christmas was very nice. It was just the three of us and we made a nice dinner including duck, homemade noodles (a family recipe), sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, fresh baked bread and a pecan pie (with Oklahoma pecans). It was delicious!
We all got wonderful gifts but the most wonderful was just being together, we just don't get to be with family enough. Vince did have to go to work Christmas night but we were just thankful we had the day together.
Well, that's pretty much it. I hope you all had a great Christmas!

A day in the life...

I just found this video on youtube that is about a day in the life of a pinnacle airline pilot. That's the airline Vince works for so it's kinda neat. It gives you a short inside look at what Vince does. Check it out.

New Car

Here are the pics of our new car. It's a 2007 Ford Focus and we named her Forcus. Okay, I named her Forcus.

Listening to God

I recently came across a blog by a Christian speaker/writer named Lysa TerKeurst. I had never heard of her but she occasionally writes for a devotional series I am going through.
She emphasizes that she is just an everyday, average woman but she has done one really WOW thing and it has been stuck in my mind for days.
She was going about her everyday life when God spoke to her and asked her (out of the blue) to do something that would change her life. Not only her life, but her family's as well.
She had gone to hear some orphans from Liberia sing near her home and ended up adopting two of them after hearing God whisper to her "Two of those boys are yours". What she did was so amazing, and the response of her friends was so unusual that she was invited to speak on Oprah. You can see the video clips from her interview with Oprah on her blog. They tell the whole story. It's a story that really tugs on the heart.
After visting her blog and hearing her story I was amazed and a little humbled.
My question to you (and myself) is this: How quickly would you be willing to take that big a risk and walk out on faith to do something that would so drastically impact your life if God told you to do it?

Christmas comes to the Inzerillo House

I finally got around to getting the house decorated for Christmas. I spent all day yesterday getting the house in the Christmas spirit. Since most of my decorations are in Kansas at my mother's house I made do with what I already had and what the dollar store had to offer me. I just can't stand the thought of spending a lot of money on decorations when I already have quite a bit of them, even if they happen to be hundreds of miles away. We are making it work for us though and we're just pleased as punch with our little 1 foot tree. Vince did get me some mistletoe this year ;) but I think that's actually the biggest Christmas investment we've made. And it'll be the most fun too!
Vince is supposed to be getting in today from a four day trip. God has been good during that time and kept the nasty weather away. We've had bad weather in the forecast almost every day he's been gone but nary a flake has fallen. I did have to drive in a little bit of snow/ice the day he left for his trip but I found out a trick, if you drive the freeways, it's mostly clear.
Well, I'm off- time to get back to work sprinkling "Christmas Cheer" around the house.

Update to Blog

I have added a guestbook to our blog so I know who has been here. It will help alleviate my curiosity.
I know that my dear mother has been spreading the fame of this blog so I am hoping that more people will stop in and say Hi.
This blog is first and foremost a way for us to stay in contact with all of you. With the creation of the guestbook we have another way of doing that and hopefully, have new contact with friends we have lost touch with.
The guestbook is located right above the archives. Please take a moment to sign it and leave a quick note. Thanks much :)
NEW UPDATE (12-13-07):
I have taken the guestbook away because I can't keep the message displayed.

Baby It's Cold Outside

We have been getting our first taste of snow. It snowed a little bit yesterday evening and is snowing again. It has been melting quickly but it sure is pretty coming down. Living in Memphis, I had forgotten how pretty snow can be. I may hate driving in it, but there is a real beauty to snow. Especially if you can look at it from the comfort of your nice warm home.
But winter is on it's way in so with a somewhat hesitant but optimistic salute, I say "Let it Snow!"

Test Pilot's Testimony

I was just listening to the testimony of test fighter pilot, Russell O'Quinn on Love Worth Finding Ministries. It is a funny, inspiring and challenging message that I think you will enjoy so I decided to share it with you.
It's a video so I don't know if all of you will be able to listen but if you can, it's worth your time. Click here to listen to the testimony or here to view his website.

Another Reason for Thankfulness

Update:
Vince just informed me that he will be home today! He wasn't supposed to be home until tomorrow or the next day but because of unforeseen circumstances, he gets to come home to spend Thanksgiving with me. He will be home this afternoon and then finish his trip tomorrow. This will sure break up the long trip.
We are still planning to go to Kim and Ray's but he will be with me and I am so thankful for that!
Also, we got our first snow this morning. Okay, in all honesty we got our first flakes today, but it's still snow! It won't be doing too much and it's melting as soon as it touches the ground but it's a nice Thanksgiving extra nonetheless.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and don't eat too much!

In Everything Give Thanks

Sunday night at church we had small groups. That's where a small group of people get together and discuss the morning's sermon and have fellowship, of course there is food as well. We do this often and it's great fun.
One thing that we did that night was go around the table and tell some things that we are thankful for. There was such a wide range of things that people had to be thankful for but the one common thread was that above all, we were thankful for all that God had done in our lives and the gift of His salvation.
Thanksgiving so often gets overlooked as an almost "in between" holiday, between Halloween (which gets far too much notice) and Christmas. But it should be a special time for us to reflect on the things Christ has done, who He is and the blessings we enjoy. Of course we should do that year round but I'm sure I'm not the only one who tends to take things for granted. Why is it we need a holiday to remind us to be thankful?
If we were to look back on the year, it would probably amaze us at what God has done, what He has brought us through, what He has provided. Some things we are surely not even aware of, but as a nation, as a people, we have so many reason to rejoice (always) with thanksgiving in our hearts.
Vince left on a four day trip yesterday. He will be gone until Friday. Since he is gone for the big day, we had our Thanksgiving meal Monday. I cooked all day and when I was finished I had enough food for twice as many people. It all turned out good and I'm still enjoying it. We'll be having turkey in one form or another for a long while. If you know me, you know that left-overs only appeal to me for about one day, but as someone said, "A big part of Thanksgiving is the thankfulness that we have enough food, abundantly so, when so many around the world will be going to bed hungry tonight. While we are passing around the multiple side dishes, the big turkey and the various pies, remember that many will be digging in the trash cans for scraps; and while we are loosening our belt at the end of the day, many will be tripping over their clothing because they hang so loosely on their flesh."
On a brighter note:
I will be going over to Kim and Ray's house for Thanksgiving day. That is, if the weather cooperates. It's supposed to snow! It should be a fun day. I enjoy my time with them and am thankful God has provided a family to celebrate the day with since I can't be with my own family and Vince will be gone.

Happy Birthday!

Today is Vince's 28th birthday. He is working and won't be home at all today but we celebrated the other day in Taylor.
I was told he wanted a cheesecake upon his return so I guess I'll be making a birthday cheesecake tomorrow before he gets home.
Happy Birthday, Baby, I Love You!

Pictures of Heritage Park- Taylor, MI

An old school house

The sunset over the pond
The log cabin The church. It was built in the late 1800's by German settlers. It's my favorite building out there.

---------
All of these building are either replicas of an actual building from a bygone era, or in some cases, they are the actual buildings built in the late 1800's. Many of them were moved to the park in 1989, thus creating a nice place for families to spend the day and preserving a little of Michigan's little-known history. Some of the buildings are decorated to look authentic while others have businesses inside. The three I can think of are a dog gourmet shop with home-made pet treats, a hershey's ice cream parlor and a coffee shop. There are a lot of trails at the park that pick up with the trails around the village so it makes for an enjoyable afternoon.
(Don't forget, if you want to see a larger image, click on the picture and it will enlarge it.)

Memories are Made of Moments Like These

Yesterday was one of those days that are so good you will remember them for a long time. It wasn't so much that yesterday hold a monumental event, it was just a really special day.
Vince got home in the morning from doing a quick trip last night. When he got home we went to Taylor and spent the day. We kinda celebrated his birthday (Nov. 16) since he will be gone for the actual day.
We did a lot of different little things that added up to a lot of fun.
We did some shopping and Vince picked out his own birthday gift. Only those of you who know him well will understand this. :) He picked out a new piece of luggage to take on his trips. It's really nice.
I had gotten two coupons off the internet for free coffee so we went to Borders and got two free speciality coffee's from Seattle's Best. That was a nice treat.
Then we went to Heritage Park which is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots. The weather had been nice all day but the sun was starting to go down while we were walking around the park and it was getting a little nippy. We didn't mind because the air felt good and it was a really pretty evening. One of life's simple pleasures is walking around a nice area in the crisp fall air, holding the hand of the one you love and enjoying the moment together. I have some picture's from the evening that I'll post so you can get an idea of what Heritage Park looks like. It's a very neat place.
After we left the park we went to Red Robin. Vince loves that restaurant and it didn't hurt that he got a free meal, including dessert, because it was his birthday. That was another free thing I had found on the Internet. All in all, we really cleaned up yesterday with free stuff.
While we were driving around yesterday and going in and out of stores, I was amazed at how much Christmas is already starting to appear. It shouldn't surprise me that much but every year it catches me off guard. It's not even Thanksgiving and almost every store is playing Christmas music and slowly but surely houses are getting all decked out in their holiday finery.
I love the Christmas season, but is it just me or does it lose some of the fun when it makes it's appearance so early? It's another sign of commercialism and it seems in some ways they are shoving it in your face saying, "It's Christmas, you gotta buy stuff!". It takes so much away from what Christmas is. Christmas should be about simpler things.
I have to admit that I am anxiously awaiting the day after Thanksgiving when I can really get into the Christmas spirit and start doing Christmasy things but I don't want to rush it. I want to enjoy each moment for the sake of that moment and not push what's coming next.
Speaking of the season and the winter that comes along with it, Vince and I broke down and bought boots yesterday. I haven't owned a pair of boots since I was in grade school but both of us are anticipating snow (him more than me) and are beginning to have visions of snowmen and yes, snowball fights. I'm beginning to think living in the North won't be so bad. :)

Pictures of S. Rockwood

These picutres were taken today. They are what's left of our fall. The peak season is over and the wind has blown most of the leaves off the trees by now but I wanted to share these with you. All of these were taken in South Rockwood near our apartment.

Harvesting Joy

The days are starting to get pretty nippy here and we have gotten into the dreaded routine of de-icing our car in the mornings. Vince and I are enjoying this (believe it or not) because although there is a definite chill in the air, the excitement of the fall season is all around us and these are the times to treasure. Fall is always a special time for me for many reasons and every year the season brings a certain joy and a renewed sense of the blessings God continuously surrounds us with. Not to mention the beauty of nature as it changes it's colors and sings out one more glorious song of praise to it's Creator before hiding beneath it's cloak of winter.
Lets see, what's been going on.
Vince had his fed-ride (a flight with someone from the FAA) and did well. He has one more slight hurdle to jump this Monday and then they will consider him fit to fly on his own. This has been such a long process and we will be glad to be done with it but it has also been a time of leaning on God yet again and finding Him, as always, faithful.
On Halloween, our church up here had a Harvest Festival. Vince was working but I was able to attend. I really enjoyed it. We had a chilli-cookoff, a hay ride, a bonfire and then we had a devotional time with singing, testimonies and prayer. What a wonderful way to spend the evening. On a day when so many horrible things are supported and even celebrated, it was such a joy to spend that time praising God and enjoying the fellowship of believers.
I am still having to come to the library to get internet but Vince is at home right now trying to get that worked out for us. Hopefully very soon we will be connected again and I won't have to come all the way (a whole mile!) to the library to catch up on things.
Tonight we will be going over to a couples house from church. We are looking forward to it. It's exciting to see God open up new friendships for us so quickly. We are so blessed that God has led us to this church because we are enjoying quick friendships. Also we feel there will be many opportunities to get involved in the church and to serve. We couldn't be happier about that.
As the saying goes, "Where God guides, He provides". We felt God leading us to this area and He sure is providing for us. God is just so good!

Fall in Full Glory

We got back home Friday about 1:00 am. For some reason the drive home seemed to take a lot longer than the drive there. We were truly glad to seem our apartment. It felt so good to be home.
Vince was supposed to start flying Monday but the guy he was flying with called in sick so Vince got two more days off. That's nice because it will give him more time to just relax a bit before he gets back in to it.
It has been rather chilly and rainy today. I think this is the first day that has really felt like fall to me. It's bringing to mind thoughts of hot apple cider, evenings curled up in blankets, and walks in the crisp evening air. It's also making Vince speak of pumpkin pie and carmel apples.
I think baking a pie will be in my near future.
The trees are so pretty here. The colors are much more vivid than they were in Memphis. It's like the area has been transformed and is now almost picture perfect in some places. Fall has always been one of my favorite times of the year but Michigan may make me like it more than ever. It's like an intensified version of Kansas. How can anyone look at nature and not see the handiwork of a wonderful creator?

Getting His Stripes

Vince had his big test today. As you might have guessed from the picture, he passed and is now offically Capt. Inzerillo. He got the forth stripe on his uniform and I've never been more proud of a gold strip of material in my life. :) Yippie!
Thank you all for your prayers and support. We depended on them.
Tonight we went out to eat with Erin, Chris, Tim, Ashley and Abby. We ate at "On The Border". We had a nice night but we are both worn out and are ready to call it a day. I know Vince feels like he can relax for awhile now and that has to feel so good.
We are just so blessed. God has been with us every step of the way and done so much for us. He gets all the glory for this. His hand has been upon us in every way and we have felt His hand upon us so many times. We give Him all the praise for this moment and just stand in awe of who He is and the amazing way He cares for His own.

Memo from Memphis

Vince was off today so we got to spend some time together. He is pretty stressed out but handling the pressure far better than I would. Tomorrow is his big test. We have been reminding ourselves just where our help and confidence comes from and we are leaning hard on God. We have had to remind ourselves to do that a little more than usual the last few days but I am so glad to know that He is truly Lord of all and the confidence we have is well placed when it is placed in Him and not our own resources.
A neat little thing happened this afternoon and we got to see it from our hotel window.
George Bush was in Memphis today and as he was going back to the airport, the motorcade went right by our hotel. I had been wondering what was going on because the cops were everywhere and had traffic stopped from every direction. I was glad to find out it was good news, not bad.
Also, from our vantage point in the hotel we get a great shot of the airport. So, we got to see Air Force Once taxi out as the President was leaving and then we watched it take off. To top it off, when they took off, they flew right past our window! We got a really great view of the plane as it was flying away into the wild blue yonder. We did have to stand on the desk in the room and a very wobbly chair to witness it all but it was worth it. I thought it was a very cool thing to be able to see.
It is so neat when little unexpected things like that happen. It's those simple, snapshot moments that seem small but help bring a little more excitement and fun into our everyday existance.

Playinig Catch Up

Ok, I know it's been a long time since I've posted anything. My excuse? I really don't have one.
I was in Kansas/Oklahoma for a week. I came back to Memphis Wednesday morning and was able to spend the rest of the day with Vince. He had the day off. :)
I had such a nice time with everyone back there. I got to spend lots of time with family and saw some friends that reminded me what a crazy bunch of people I hang out with. I thank God for every one of those crazy nuts!
So a little outline of the trip goes as follows-
On the plane ride there I had the joy of sitting beside a baptist missionary. We had a wonderful talk about God's love, spreading the gospel and the work he and his team are doing in building homes and sharing the plan of salvation with rural areas in the country. Needless to say, that plane ride went very quickly but I got off the plane with an uplifted heart that God's word is still marching on.
I spent the week driving back and forth to Bartlesville a lot. I spent as much time with my grandparents and dad as I could. It was such a special time that did my heart lots of good.
I was also able to go to King's Coffee Shop which was a staple of my life when I lived there. Most weekends and some weekdays when an escape from an extra stressful day was needed you could find Angie and I there. Of course Angie couldn't be with us but I took my mom and Angie's mom. It was nice just to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and good conversation.
I went out to eat more times in that week than I have in the past month with one friend after another. One thing I noticed, that area just doesn't have a lot to offer in the way of good food. :)
I also enjoyed the time with mom and John. It's always nice to go home and get a little spoiled. I honestly didn't spend as much time with them because they were working but I enjoyed the time we had.
So that was pretty much my week. I completely enjoyed myself although it was nice to come back to Vince.
I think the foremost thought of the whole week was that I have been wonderfully blessed with lots of friends and a family who loves and cares about me. The older I get I am more aware of what a blessing that is. God has surrounded me with His love and the love of lots of people and there's not much more a person could ask for. That has got to be one of the greatest gifts. To love and be loved.

Leaving On A Jet Plane

I am leaving for Kansas today. I'm excited about seeing my family and goofy friends because it has been way too long. The plan is to stay until Saturday and then return to Memphis to make sure Vince survived without me. I know it will be hard on him. :)
I have plans to spend as much time with as many people as I can while I'm in the midwest region. I've missed them so much! I'll try to download pics if I can get my camera to work.

Give Him A Hand

Vincent had his oral exam today. He just called me and told me he passed. I'm just so proud of him! He has a few more hurdles to jump but I am confident in the facts that I have a very smart husband and that we have a great big God who is helping him.
Vince is actually taking the rest of the day off so we are going to get to spend some real time together. I think BBQ may be in our very near future. :)
He hasn't had any time to just relax since we've been here so that will be first priority, but BBQ is right up there. It's a Memphis thing.

Sunday in the South

We got to go to our old church, Emmanual Baptist, today. It was so very good to see everyone again and to be a part of a service there. The smiling faces and hugs were nice too. :)
After church we went to Chris and Erin's for lunch. Bless Erin's heart, she fed us real food! We hadn't had a real meal in over a week. But even if there hadn't been "real food" it was fun just being with them again.
Vince is, you guessed it, studying. He probably won't be home until late. I hardly see him but I'll say this for him, he's very dedicated. He's working hard and I know it will all pay off. Just remember to keep him in your prayers.

Memphis and other news

We are in Memphis now. It was a very pleasant drive but we were both glad to see the end of our journey. I am already learning that living out of a hotel is an experience. We have a microwave and small refrigerator but that's it.
The weather here is totally different. There are no shivers and shakes here. I told Vince this was what September should feel like. He didn't agree.
I was told that I forgot to post the results of the MRI on my neck so the good news is that everything is fine. There is no nerve damage, no suspicious spots and everything is in the place its supposed to be.
Yesterday I made my first venture into my old haunts. It was fun but honestly, it made me a little homesick. There are so many things I missed. It felt in some ways like coming home. Again, Vince didn't agree. He likes Michigan so much better. I guess with me it's just about being around the familiar. It felt good.
But home is ultimately wherever Vince is and we are both happy. Also, I am learning that it is all very tempory anyway and we aren't in our real home anywhere on earth. We are seeking a place to come, a place far surpassing any earthly location and that is where our home is.

Shivers and Shakes

It was 45 degrees this morning when we got up. In September. While Vince was ecstatic about the first real morning chill, it brought for me a slight sense of foreboding. This is a small glimps into what is to come.
I don't think it should be 45 in September. That doesn't feel right to me. I looked at the temperatures from Kansas and almost cried.
Most of you know I don't do cold. Yeah, I know, 45 to you toughies ain't bad, but to me, it's screaming, "You just wait, I'm gonna be packin' a pretty nasty punch soon, and I wanted to give you a taste of it."
So here I sit, bundled up from head to toe, praying for the "warm" front that is supposed to be coming.
The news people are all smiles, saying what a gorgeous day it is out there. It's 61. Did I mention that it's September!?
Winter here will be a whole new experience for me. I am looking on the bright side however and have decided to accentuate the positive. I know the snow will be very pretty and I have a really good shot at a white Christmas, which I'm not sure I've ever had. So I will enjoy this new adventure, probably looking out my window while I'm curled up on the couch with a hot beverage.
Donations for blankets, heaters, parkas and nose warmers, now being accepted.

Prayer

In memory of Sept. 11, I wanted to share with you a prayer that Max Lucado published in response to the attacks. It is a reminder of that day and the days following. It is a prayer we could and should still pray today, six years later.
God Bless America.
I also want to include a song by the Booth Brothers titled "Under God".

Just to let you know

I have added another section to the right side of the screen. It has links to the two other blogs I am working on.
One is a blog with quotes, songs, scripture and articles on love, primarily dedicated to Vince, and the other is the same type of thing, only the posts here are centered around my walk with God. It is an online journal of sorts with things that have helped me as I strive to "Follow After".

God Is With Us Even In The Tight Spots

I had an MRI done on my neck today. I was expecting the same horrible experince that it was last time but something was different this time. I took God with me. I was relaxed and the time went by really quickly. I can only give God the glory for this because those things are NOT fun.
I did a lot of just talking to God and lots of singing. I sang songs like, "I Shall Not Be Moved" and "Be Still My Soul" (to remind myself not to move) and "Everywhere I Go" (to remind me He is always with me, even in tiny tunnels that make lots of noise). When I was being moved out of the tunnel after it was done, I think I even sang a little of "Hallelujah, 'Tis done!".
At one point I was actually fighting laughter during the test because I was trying to find hymns and songs that would fit the situation. How many people can say they were so relaxed during an MRI they had to fight laughing? See what the peace and comfort of the presence of God can do?
Anyway, now it's all about awaiting the results, but I'm just resting in His care, trusting and singing "Have Thine Own Way, LORD".

Update

My parents just left. They were here for 8 days. I'm glad they were able to stay that long. It always makes you feel loved when your parents take a nice long vacation just to see you. Especially when they drive 14 hours.
We had a really nice visit but it was a little harder to work around schedules than I thought. Oh well, it was worth it. I'm sorry we don't have pictures. My camera has decided to break on us. Nice timing, huh?
Now we have a week of "normal" before we trek down to Memphis. We will be leaving next Sunday bright and early.
This week we will be preparing for the nearly 2 month Memphis return and figuring out what we need/want to bring. Our poor little car will probably be packed to the gills and dragging its hind tires all the way.
We feel so blessed to know we have so many people praying. I know those prayers will cover us on our trip down and while we are there I know Vince will feel his strength and determination renewed when he thinks of all the prayers drifting heavenward on his/our behalf. It's all in God's hands and what a wonderful place for it to be!

The Lord Is My Shepherd

I found this video and thought it was really cute. Figured I'd share the cuteness.
It's a video of a little girl reciting the 23rd Psalm.

My Brother, The Hero

Adrian, Vince's brother, went hiking on Mt. Hood with friends not so long ago and ended up becoming a "big, burly" hero.
Here are some links that tell the story better than I could. Make sure you watch the video clips and picture slideshows.

After hearing him talk of that day, this is what I thought. Number 1, I'm so pround of him and I thank God that he had the right skills needed for the situation, and Number 2, I couldn't help but be awed at the testimony it was to the awesome power and goodness of God. I was thinking as Adrian was telling the story, " That rescue had the hand of God all over it". No one can say God isn't present and at work in our lives after hearing this story.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble. Ps. 46:1

Capt. Inzerillo

Vince just got a class date to begin Capt. training. He has been studying his little heart out so just keep us in your prayers as he continues to study and then goes into class.
We will be leaving to go back to Memphis the middle of Sept. because that's where his training is. We will be living in a hotel for 2 months. Doesn't that sound like fun? After that, he should officially be Capt. Inzerillo mid November. Just in time for his 28th birthday.
It will be fun to see everyone in Memphis but it is really going to be a stressful time. Just pray that God will help him during his study time to understand and retain the mountain-load of information and then during his classes and examinations, that all will go well.
I'm so proud of him. :)

My Parents are coming! My Parents are coming!

I just found out that my parents are for sure coming to see us the first part of Sept. They have never been up here so I hope they enjoy themselves. I am going to take advantage of them being here by playing tourist to new and exciting places. There are a few places close by that we haven't explored yet so I'm going to drag my parents to them. Should be fun. I love exploring and being new to an area gives me a great opportunity to look around and experience the newness. And did I mention the shopping?!
I'll post pics later!

If I Die Before You Wake- Video

I got this video from another blog. I thought it was very touching.

Washington trip- Marissa and Erik

We just got back from a 15 day vacation in Vince's homestate, Washington. It was an amazing trip. I always love going out there but it gets harder and harder to leave! I love his family and WA has got to be the prettiest place I've ever seen.
The whole reason for our trip was Vince's little sissy got married. We are so happy for them. They're such an adorable couple. The wedding was beautiful and we enjoyed our time with them. It's too bad we can't be together more often.
We also got to visit with part of Vince's family that we never get to see. I had never met some of them. I really enjoyed getting to know Vince's uncles and their families. They are delightful.
Anyway, Marissa and Erik, we love you and wish you all God's greatest blessings on your marriage and home. We'll be praying for you. We miss you LOTS!
